File size: 30 KB On this page you will find out: - how to create charts - how to create a slideshow - how to read stats
How to create one or more charts
You can do this from the Options dialog, which you can access either from the gadget menu, or from the gray arrow-chart button. You can see in a text-box the following text: 1,60;2,30;3,50;4,60 That’s a default graph that has been set for demonstration. The principle is quite simple, you separate dots in the chart using the ’;’ character (semicolon), and separate the horizontal and vertical coordinates of the dot using the ‘,’ character (comma). If you want to make slideshows, just click Next or Back to edit the slides. But what if you have 10 slides at one point, and you want to show only 3 in a slideshow, but want to keep those other ones saved? Then it’s good to know that the slideshow will ends before the first slide which is blank. To make a slide blank just delete its coresponding text.
How to read statistics
Moving your mouse over the chart will show relevant statistics about the variation. The tooltip of a line or of the space between 2 dots or bars will mention the starting point and end point values (both coordonates), as well as an approximate variation in procents. The dots and bars tooltip will show the coordinates and the variation relative to the previous value. The difference between the drawn line-charts and bar-charts, is that a line-chart emphasises evolution, therefore the lowest value will always be at the minimum height, whereas a bar-chart will emphasise value, therefore the heights will always be proportional.
Other features
· You can enable a grid for better visual observation of the graphs. This can be done from the Options dialog or from the button which appears in the undocked mode (gadget is outside of the sidebar). · You can set the time spent for each slide in a slideshow, from the Options dialog. The default setting is 4 seconds. The time that passes, considering both the slide and the slideshow, is shown next to the chart.
