It’s a cool gadget that brings your everyday (or not so everyday) mathematical functions to your finger-tips. You have them all, from arithmetic to logic and trigonometric functions and you can operate in important bases like hexadecimal (digits 0 to 15), decimal (0 to 9) and binary (only 2 digits, 0 and 1).

Selecting a view
Like any decent calculator widget, this one also has a Simple view and a Scientific View. The Simple view features common operations, just right for those times where you can’t find the physical calculator. The Scientific view has a lot more stuff, giving you the mathematical basis for practically any calculation you would like to perform. To select one of these views, you just need to click Simple or Scientific in the gadget menu, like in the image.
1.Simple
The Simple view offers some basic operations: division, multiplication, subtraction and adition. You also have sqrt (square root), percentage, inversion (1/X) and sign changing (+/-). There also are some helper buttons like memory functions, and backspace equivalents (deletes the last inserted digit). In this mode, as well as the Scientific one, you can type up to 20 digits.
2.Scientific
The first set of options is the numeration base. Hex (hexadecimal) is base 16 (0,1,2,3…,9,A,B,…,F); Dec (decimal) is base 10, the day-to-day math(0,1,…,9); Oct is base 8 (0,1,…,7) and Bin (binary) has only 2 digits: 0 and 1. You can thus convert numbers between any of these bases.
The angle measurement units are just the same, having to choose/convert between Degrees, Radians or Grads (Pi radians=180 degrees). There also are more complex mathematical functions like logarithms, exponentials, trigonometric functions (sinus, cosinus, tangent) and you can also prioritize certain operations through the use of parentheses. Logical operators are also available (like And, Or, Not) and much more. All the buttons frum the Simple view are included as well.
